WAAC Arts Committee announces that Amber Quail will be the Association’s first Indigenous artist-in-residence, starting October 1, 2022.

The jury, consisting of Judith Davidson-Palmer, Bonnie Devine (professor emeritus OCADU), and Dale Butterill was impressed with Amber’s background in Indigenous education, her experience in the use of traditional material in her artwork, her warm personal demeanour and the sterling quality of her references. For her residency, she plans to focus on developing her art practice and exploring and addressing WAAC member interests.
