Artist Bio:

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I followed my childhood passion for art, attaining a BFA (H) from the University of Manitoba in 1977 followed by a certificate in art education. I taught art, craft and language arts in Winnipeg at the secondary level. Moving to Edmonton, Alberta in 1980, I worked as a library cataloguer prior to having twin daughters. I completed my master degree in library and information studies at the University of Alberta in 1995 and worked for Alberta Justice as a law librarian and then web-based information manager. My husband and I have now relocated to Toronto to be near our children and grandchildren.
Artist Statement:
My art reflects my lifelong love of light and colour. I have endeavored to observe and capture the tableaux of life around me, often the people closest to me, with the aim of telling a story and expressing something of the whimsy, humour and warmth in the way we live our lives.
