Artist Bio

I love to paint because it is PAINTING: silence – seeing – creating. I love painting in watercolour because this medium has a will of its own. It is a challenge, often a surprise, and above all FREEDOM. The paintings speak for themselves. Born and schooled in Basel, Switzerland. Feminist. Married to an American/Canadian, moved to Toronto in 1991. Worked and studied at University of Toronto. Early retirement in 2009. Classes in Watercolour painting, thereby re-connecting with the art education of my schooldays; have not stopped painting since.
