Artist Bio

Ms. Fleck, has a wealth of knowledge, and a wide range of experience in the arts. Born and raised in New York, where she was trained in dance, music, and performance. She started very young as a dancer/performer, who moved into the music industry, then onto photography/video sets as a researcher, casting director and director. Elaine has Produced/Directed, Choreographed and Represented Artists in these fields for many years. She has produced New Music Performance Art shows with a Musical Director in a Toronto Gallery, Booked Musical Acts in a club venue in Toronto. Publicist work on shows for Bands in New York and Toronto. Event Planner of music shows for award winning musicians and academics, Athenaeum Music & Arts Library in La Jolla, California. Director Earth Day Show, Music & Performance, Stanford California. Studio Manager/Stylist at Gary Ray Rush Photography & co-owner Fine Art Printing, 1994-2005 and continues to consult on photoshoots requiring a director and stylist. 2003, opened the Elaine Fleck Gallery, in the heart of Toronto's Art and Design District, curating hundreds of Exhibitions, mentoring hundreds of artists and providing art consultation services to patrons and collectors. Ms. Fleck's curation prioritizes technical expertise while spotlighting the unique qualities of an artist's work. She provides solo exhibitions to mid-career and established artists. She also curates and produces group exhibitions providing opportunities to emerging and independent artists. She is widely recognized for curating group exhibitions with a range of styles and media into a cohesive whole. Ms. Fleck's curation has been highly sought after by the TV & film industry. Recent projects include NBC's SUITS, ABC's DESIGNATED SURVIVOR starring Kiefer Sutherland, FX's THE STRAIN created by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan and THE HANDMAID'S TALE TV Series based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Atwood, starring Elizabeth Moss, CBS TV pilot GLAMOROUS starring Brooke Shields, directed by Eva Longoria, and the Netflix Series SPINNING OUT starring Emma Roberts. Ms. Fleck has established broad name recognition for her current and past featured artists. Her Gallery routinely liaisons with art collectors, set designers, art directors, museum curators, and the media, to facilitate the advancement of the gallery’s represented artists.
