Artist Bio

My passion for the discovery and presentation of family history informs my approach to my artwork. I am interested in creating a visual biography of various aspects of a life path imagined. To explore these scenarios, I work in a variety of media, and often in series. I also enjoy the immediacy of plein air sketching. Regular figure drawing remains a foundation of my work. I studied at the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD). Besides WAAC, I'm an active member of The Toronto Plein Air Painters and Urban Sketchers Toronto. I have participated in many group art shows, both indoors and out, over the years. My books on family history are on the collections of several libraries in Canada and the U.S.
