Silver Nina Onward Acrylic on Canvas 2
Depicting the elderly in a positive light through this representational acrylic painting.
Nina Silver Lily Pond Therapy
Needing to remain outdoors for social visits, a visit to my cousin's Lily Pond during the height of COVID inspired this watercolour painting.
Nina Silver True North Landscape
One of my favourite places to relax and recharge is in the backwoods of Northern Ontario. I have painted many abstract acrylic images of the trees and lakes in this region.
Nina Silver Avoiding Chaos in The Round
This abstract geometric acrylic and epoxy resin painting was the first of mine to sell at WAAC in the 'Small Gems' exhibit of 2024.
Nina Silver Escape To The Sea
This acrylic painting was inspired by imagining a place where we could leave the world of technology and constant electronic chatter behind.
Nina Silver Miles To Go Before I Sleep
This acrylic painting was inspired by the Robert Frost poem, entitled 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening'.
Nina Silver View from Burnt Lake Campground
Another one of my abstract acrylic paintings honouring the landscape of northern Ontario, which has now found its forever home in North Toronto.
Nina Silver Frosted Soap Bubble 7
Ask me about my series of photographs depicting blown soap bubbles as they freeze outdoors in temperatures no warmer than -8C.
Nina Silver Cessna Skywagon 185 on Vintage Postcard
A favourite series of mine is my photoart that superimposes man-made and natural ephemera on vintage postcards. These images have appeared in the Ruth Upjohn Gallery as part of a solo exhibit.
Nina Silver Pink rose on Vintage 1905 Post Card
The process of creating these images is one whereby I collect vintage postcards from flea markets and old paper shows, photograph them, then superimpose on them original images I have photographed of flowers.
Nina Silver No Home Should Be Without One
As part of an online community of artists, I create a daily digital or analogue collage based on a prompt for every day in February. The initiative is called Februllage, and this is an analogue collage for 'Vinyl', from 2025.
Nina Silver Bringing Colour to the Children
An example of Photoart that I create by manipulating my original photographs with digital filters and photo editing software.
