Sharon Permack

Artist Bio

Sharon Permack is a Canadian abstract visual artist based in Toronto, Ontario. Working in painting and collage, she creates layered, textured pieces that use colour, movement, and depth to invite viewers into a dynamic visual experience. Working in the Integrative Wellness field, Sharon brings a deep sensitivity to energy, emotional states, and embodied experience into her artistic practice, allowing these influences to shape each composition intuitively and deliberately. After painting earlier in life while raising her children, Sharon stepped away from her art practice for several years. She returned to painting in January 2020 during a period of personal transformation, discovering abstraction as a joyful and expansive way to explore energy, emotion, and possibility. This ongoing sense of discovery continues to guide her work, which is recognized for its vibrant palettes, organic forms, and expressive movement. Sharon has participated in several charity auctions and has shown her work at the Toronto Fringe Festival and at Catherine Shea Studio in San Miguel, Mexico.
