Christine Lynett B.A., A.O.C.A., B.ED.
Over the last several years in my work as an artist I have explored drawing and painting through the medium of Printmaking, in its various forms as well as through watercolor and direct drawing and painting on paper and mylar surfaces. I began my studies at the Toronto School of Art and at the Ontario College of Art in the departments of Fine Art and Experimental Art. I studied at the Toronto campus and spent a year in the O.C.A. Florence, Italy Program. I continue to work with the figure and with landscape and still life, exploring interpretations of these subject matters within my own studio as well as working in collaboration with other artists in various environments abroad including San Miguel De Allende, Mexico, Riverside College and Idyllwild School of Art in California, U.S.A., and the Taller De Grabado in Holguin, Cuba.
I have exhibited regularly since 1992 in both individual and group shows in and around Toronto at Peel Heritage Gallery (PAMA), Stoufville Art Gallery, Dufferin County Museum, The Living Arts Centre Mississauga, The Lyndia Terre Gallery, The Alton Mill, LoopGallery, Blank Canvas, Weld Co-operative, WAAC, as well as abroad in California and in Cuba.
I also work as an educator in the field of Visual Art, English and Special Education.
