J. Davidson Palmer
Judith Davidson-Palmer works in oil, watercolour, acrylic, photographic and mixed media. Her abstract work is characterized by energy and colour that draw the viewer in while her realistic paintings capture life in a way that evokes memories of people, places, and pursuits. Her limited edition photographs frequently challenge viewers by altering the common perception of familiar landmarks and scenes. A graduate of Mount Allison University and Queen’s University, she has studied at the National Portrait Gallery, London UK, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Haliburton School of Art, Ontario College of Art (OCAD), with painters Barry Coombs, Lila Lewis Irving and Chinkok Tan and with photographer, Steve Simon. Her work has shown at various galleries. Her photography and paintings are in both business and private collections. “Light at the End of the Tunnel” was shortlisted for the Summer Exhibition 2016 at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, England.
