“Finding Histories in Objects and Place”

A photography workshop with Gaye Jackson

Saturday, June 1, 1-4 pm | Women’s Art Association of Canada

The workshop will consist of hands-on image-taking with an exploration of form and light, followed by a group critique. Jackson will guide a discussion about what makes a good photograph, how to create a composition and edit it. Participants can learn about working with digital files to print, explore mounting and framing options, and resources in Toronto for digital work.

Gaye Jackson’s photo-based practice is focused on environmental history, geology, and land use. In her work, she uncovers stories and histories contained within objects and their environment. She was a guest speaker in the March ARTIST VOICES Series.
