Gelli Print with Janet F. Potter
Saturday, February 4, 1-4 p.m.
Janet F. Potter is an established professional mixed media artist and a
longstanding member of the Women’s Art Association of Canada.
This workshop introduces participants to the making of a Gelli print. Gelli plate
printing uses a gelatin plate to print on paper or fabric. The paint is applied to the
Gelli surface and spread out with a brayer. This is followed by placing textile
materials on the plate, then removing and placing them on various papers and
textiles. It’s a simple and enjoyable process.
Participants will need an apron and plastic gloves.
Maximum number of participants: 8
Workshop fee: $50. This covers workshop materials (Gelli print plate, brayer, paint, textile).
