A leading contemporary and iconic Canadian artist, Charles is a painter, printmaker, sculptor, designer, historian and lecturer, a graduate of the University of Toronto, La Sorbonne-Paris & Cranbook Academy of Art-Michigan. Whew!

His work has been exhibited at the AGO, the ROM & McMichael Gallery and he is represented in public and private collections throughout Canada and internationally, having held solo exhibitions in France, Germany, Japan, the UK, India and Bangladesh.

He has been awarded the Queen’s Golden & Diamond Jubilee medals and his images of the queen, moose and maple leaf flag are icons of Canadian contemporary art.
