Artist Statement
A selection of portraits in oil from recent years, each with a unique persona for you to meet and engage with.
Artist Bio
Win Keenan-Kuplowsky, is a visual artist who is known for her impressionistic oil paintings.
“I seek to capture in my portraits a mood, a moment, a persona.
Found moments, chance or online encounters, with inspirational muses continue to elicit in me a call and response in my works often rooted in empathy, solidarity, or joy!”
Curriculum Vitae (CV):
Graduating from the University of Toronto and the Ontario College of Teachers, Win pursued a visual arts education at the Ontario College of Art and Design, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and Studio West. She continues to embrace learning, finding inspiration daily in both solitary and communal practice.
Win is an active elected member of The Society of Canadian Artists, The Colour and Form Society and The Women’s Art Association of Canada (WAAC).
Win’s work has been exhibited by the Society of Canadian Artists (Juried Exhibition 2023/2024/2025) and Elaine Fleck Fine Art Juried Exhibition (spring 2025). She placed first at the juried En Plein Air Competition held by the McMichael Gallery (2022), awarded at the The Colour and Form Society juried member’s exhibition for third place (2024) and honourable mentions (2023/2025), and awarded the John Mlacak award (2022) and People’s Choice Award (2023) at the juried Brush Off Competition.
She held her first solo exhibition of en plein-air works in November 2024 at the Ruth Upjohn Gallery at WAAC in Toronto.
Win is a member of ACTRA and works as an actor/model.
