Rosie the Riveter has a surprisingly complex history, both during WWII and afterwards. This talk traces the many twists and turns of Rosie’s iconic career(s), right up to her current re-purposing during the Covid pandemic.
Peter Harris is the former Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Science, University of Toronto. He has given lectures to many later life learning groups in Toronto and beyond, including Hot Docs Curious Minds, Etobicoke Learning Unlimited, and BlueWater Association for LifeLong Learning. He previously spoke to WAAC in 2021 on La Belle
