Call for Submissions: Beyond Bound Pages & Moving Frames
The Women’s Art Association of Canada (WAAC) invites member artists to submit their artwork(s) for consideration in our upcoming group exhibition, Beyond Bound Pages & Moving Frames. This show is a unique opportunity for artists to share their interpretations of narratives that have left a lasting impact, whether inspired by cherished books, classic films, or beloved characters that resonate with audiences. The exhibition will run from Thursday, January 16, to Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Dignam Gallery.
We seek a diverse range of interpretations and styles across all mediums—including painting, photography, mixed media, digital art, creative writing and more! Whether your work captures the essence of a specific scene, embodies a character’s journey, or explores overarching themes such as love, adventure, or transformation, we encourage you to bring your creative vision to life.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Monday, January 6, 2025 — 11:30 pm ET
Selection Confirmation: Tuesday, January 7, 2025
Artwork Intake: Tuesday, January 14, 2025 — 11 am to 4 pm
Show Install: Wednesday, January 15, 2025
Exhibition Run: Thursday, January 16, to Saturday, February 1, 2025
Reception: Saturday, January 18, 2025 — 1pm to 4pm
Artwork Pick-up: Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 5 pm sharp or
Tuesday, February 4, 2025 — 11 am to 4 pm
