The current exhibit, “Far and Away”, shows a group of paintings loosely inspired by the landscape genre. By and large, they are wholly imagined places. Although unpeopled, there is always the suggestion of the human footprint. These are places seen or dreamed of… places reflecting the light, the colours, the patterns and the beauty of Nature.

Marjorie Moeser is a Canadian who studied Fine Arts at McGill University, Montreal; Ontario College of Art and Centennial College, Toronto. She has painted in Canada, USA, and France. She has had Solo exhibitions at the David Kaye Gallery, the Dignam Gallery, the Ruth Upjohn Gallery, all in Toronto; The Big Picture Gallery, the Unsettled Gallery, Mazlak-McLeod Gallery, New Mexico. She showed in group shows in Toronto, Santa Fe & Las Cruces, New Mexico; Galerie Imbert, Aix-en Provence.

Moeser was twice Artist in Residence, at the Mill Atelier, Santa Fe, N.M. Currently, she paints in Toronto, Canada, where she has her studio. She is a member of CARFAC, a professional Canadian artists’ organization, and also a member of Women’s Art Association of Canada. Mainly a landscape painter, Moeser paints semi-abstract compositions. Stylistically, her early Minimalist approach became Expressionist, more painterly, with a full spectrum palette.
