Seen and Unseen: Kyungmin Kate Lee Solo Exhibition

Embracing life as a Korean-Canadian, the artist employs a biographical documentary approach to convey their experiences and identity through various media, including photography, graphic design, mixed media, and video.

Among these media, photography stands out as the most active form of expression. It traverses the realms of analog and digital formats, generating a range of physical and chemical reactions from viewers.

The exhibition also symbolically depicts the artist’s journey of self-discovery through the use of Braille symbols presented as cube-like modules. This recurring visual motif deepens immersion and tension within the works, capturing the dynamic aspects of life’s evolution and personal growth.
