About this exhibition
As an immigrant artist from Turkey and 21st century person, the phenomenon of fragmentation has always been the main essence of my work. I am experiencing major breaks in my social and cultural life as well as in my own life. In the imagination series, I try to reflect in my works what I see in a new country, what I have my sensation in the fragmented mirror of my consciousness and sub-consciousness.
Artist Bio
I graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Art History and Archeology, and Marmara University Faculty of Administration, Marketing (master).Later, I completed my master’s degree in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Isık University,Istanbul and graduated from Prof Balkan Naci Islimyeli’s studio. Title of my master’s thesis is “The Reflections of theTradition of Abstraction in the Visual Arts in The Middle East Islamic Countries”. I participated from 2006-2023 more than 20 exhibitions in Toronto and Istanbul and 7 solo exhibitions.
