The Women’s Art Association of Canada (WAAC) presents Keeping Dreams, a juried group exhibition, that will run from Thursday, February 27 to Saturday, March 22, 2025, at WAAC’s Dignam Gallery, located at 23 Prince Arthur Ave. in Toronto, Ontario. The opening reception will be held March 1, 2025 from 1-4 pm.
This exhibition delves into the multifaceted experiences of resilience amidst adversity, exploring themes of home, migration, and the pursuit of happiness. Featuring artwork in various mediums—drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, installation, and video—the exhibition invites artists to reflect on the complexities of navigating challenges, embracing change, and maintaining hope. Whether through personal narratives of migration, symbolic representations of resilience, or explorations of comfort, discomfort, and the balance between freedom and control, Keeping Dreams encourages diverse perspectives, personal histories, and stories that highlight the strength found in overcoming obstacles from our members and non-members alike.
