Artist’s bio: 
I am a retired spiritual care professional and educator who was forty years old when I took my first watercolour painting class.  My art education has been self-directed.  I continue to take art classes in a variety of mediums. 

Artist Statement: 
I work primarily in watercolour. Painting plein air allows me to combine my love of watercolour and nature. I love the invitation and the challenge to let go of control and allow the paint to do its own thing; it’s a playful medium that dances! I love to return to a particular place and sketch or paint the location in different light and seasons. It is my intention to express the spirit of a particular place and time. My art practice calls me to pay attention and be fully present. In that process I see the world in new and unexpected ways and invite the viewer to come along with me on the journey.
