I have a multifaceted art practice ranging from fun acrylic and multi-media abstracts, to a recurring interest in what usually remains hidden from view: human anatomy, the earth’s underground structures and the unconscious. My Body Mysteries series explores human anatomy and a number of pieces are shown in the background image on this About page. This series uses wood and exploits the versatility of this material. Some pieces are scorched and carved, while other images are created using a variety of materials ranging from paint, to modeling paste, to wax and paper. The image, “Strata Revealed”, is part of a developing interest in the landscapes and structures under the earth’s crust. And I have tried my hand at landscape above ground also.
