I enjoy working in several media and techniques: drawing in pen and pencil, painting in watercolour, hand-building in clay, and creating abstract "worlds" in mixed media. I often explore ideas through a series of pieces.

I especially like the immediacy of drawing and painting en plein air. The challenge of the varying conditions--weather, people passing by, changing light--all contribute to the finished image. I am active in Toronto Urban Sketchers and Toronto Plein Air Painters groups.
