Growing up in ​Longueuil, Quebec, I studied Fine Arts at Collège Brébeuf and Université du Québec à Montréal, and jewelry making at Joaillerie Madeleine Dansereau. After working as illustrator for a schoolbook publishing house, I wrote and illustrated “Bilijou”, a children’s book published in 1982. For over 20 years, I enjoyed working with colourful gems as goldsmith and jewelry designer, mostly at Goldart Studio in Ottawa, www.gold-art.com.

In a dream long time ago, I accidently stumbled on the other side of our 3D reality. The shapes of the mountains and lake where we spent our summers were the same, but the colors and their vibrancy were not. The beauty of it was mesmerizing. I know I cannot reproduce it but the artist who came the closest was Itchiku Kubota with his series of Fall and Winter Kimonos. Though I always liked painting planets from the dimension of my imagination, I try too to paint what our planet looks like from a dream state.
