WAAC Artist Natalia Shields exhibits in the Pelham Art Festival Online

The popular Pelham Art Festival, held annually every Mother’s Day Weekend in May, moves online for 2021 to include an impressive number of local artists and artists from all over Ontario displaying and selling their work.

Everyone is welcome to continue to enjoy and purchase original art so that the fundraising efforts for the Pelham Library System, Pelham Arts Scholarships and Community Art Projects can proceed.

When the 2020 Festival was cancelled due to the pandemic, we fully expected to be back for an in-person show in 2021. However, such a large event is not possible this year, so we present Pelham Art Festival Online. People are using virtual opportunities in ways we would never have anticipated so we are excited to offer this platform to our artists and community.

The Online Pelham Art Festival can be accessed through our new multi vendor sales platform www.pelhamartfestival.com, and will go live May 1^st, 2021. Enjoy the virtual Art Tour!

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the Women’s Art Association of Canada operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.

Since 1887
The Women’s Art Association of Canada is a diverse and inclusive non-profit arts hub offering exhibition, education and volunteer opportunities for men and women with a passion for the arts. Two historic gallery spaces on the main floor of the heritage building at 23 Prince Arthur Avenue in Toronto are open to the public: The Dignam Gallery and The Ruth Upjohn Gallery.

Each year, the Dignam Gallery hosts 4 group exhibitions open to all members, community outreach exhibitions, Signature exhibitions, scholarship exhibitions in the summer months, and the Artist-in-Residence exhibition in the fall. The Ruth Upjohn Gallery is available to members for solo or group exhibitions. Members include practicing professional artists who have been exhibiting for decades, and self-taught artists showing their work in public for the first time. All are welcome!
