Anum Jamal Exhibits at Gallery A, “Woman 2022.”

WAAC Member & Artist Anum Jamal exhibits at Gallery A’s “#Woman 2022,” online and in-person until March 31st, 2022.

Gallery A, as part of the Maryland Federation of Art, and in celebration of International Women’s Day is hosting an online all-hang exhibition, “#Woman 2022“ about what it means to be a woman living in the 21st century.

Throughout history, women have been tasked with many roles – whether breaking glass ceilings at work, managing households in unpaid labor, taking to the streets in protest of equality & expanding civil rights to fighting for a seat at the table in law, medicine, industry and tech, often times all at once. This exhibition not only explores what it means and feels like to be a woman in the 21st century but also celebrates the hard-won achievements of women and brings light to their future.
