Carolyn Haltrecht is a Toronto-based expressionist painter whose work explores the complexity of human emotion, relationships, and the stories we carry within us. While her early experience in art school was marked by the unexpected distinction of failing painting at the Ontario College of Art, Carolyn ultimately found her artistic voice on her own terms. After retiring in her mid-sixties, she returned to painting with renewed passion and purpose, embracing a bold, expressive style that focuses on people, feelings, and emotional connection. Her vibrant and deeply personal works invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences and relationships.
