Artist Bio
Geri Sadoway is a semi-retired immigration and refugee lawyer in Toronto. Geri loves art of all kinds and has taken many workshops and art classes over the years. Since about 2010 she has worked primarily as a botanical artist, becoming a member of the Botanical Artists of Canada (BAC) and the Southern Ontario Nature and Science Illustrators (SONSI). She has taken many classes with Nellie Sue Potter at the ROM, High Park Nature Centre and the Nature Art Studio, and has also taken art classes at the AGO, the Haliburton School of Art and on-line. She is currently a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA) and the North American Native Plant Society (NANPS) and has provided illustrations for The Blazing Star (quarterly publication of NANPS). Geri is a keen birder and has recently started doing bird portraits, based on her own photos and drawing from life.
